June Preteen Camp Cancelled

Sadly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided that we need to cancel all our June preteen camps. See the News update for more details.

Camp Cherokee is held at the beautiful Wyldwood Camp facility in Searcy, Arkansas. All dorms are air-conditioned, as are the dining hall and gymnasium. The Camp Cherokee facility is compact, making all activity areas within a short walk of each other.

Camp Cherokee offers many wonderful activities, such as kayaking and fishing down at the on-site lake, swimming in the in-ground pool, archery, arts and crafts, nature hike, challenge games, dancing, water dodgeball and more.

We will once again offer our young teen staff (aged 13-14) the opportunity to be part of our Apprentice Program. This program not only allows us to accept more staff who are younger, but it also provides them with an opportunity to serve and be trained in how to better serve as staff members.

Fun evening activities include novelty Olympics, bonfire and sing-along, and the end-of-camp variety/fun show.

Camper Arrival:

Campers should arrive June 21, 2020, by 5 p.m.

Staff Arrival:

Staff should arrive for training on June 21, 2020, by 12 noon.
