Plans are well underway for the 2026 Challenger Program for young adults (ages 18 to 35). This year’s program will take place in what is widely considered the best sport climbing destination in the United States: Kentucky’s Red River Gorge! “The Red” offers not only excellent climbing conditions, but also natural arches and bridges, waterfalls and extensive hiking trails.

This one-week immersive outdoor adventure is designed to help you grow in confidence, resilience and strength through rock climbing and rappelling, as well as hiking and kayaking.

At the end of each day’s activities, participants will return to base camp to rest and recharge. A highlight of Challenger is the evening fireside discussions!

You don’t need to have prior experience on the rocks to participate. We have a team of certified and experienced rock-climbing staff to help all levels of climbers, from beginner to advanced. Just be ready to challenge yourself, to enjoy the outdoors, and to build stronger connections with other young adults in the Church.
