Hello Everyone,

We are excited to announce that Lone Star Summer Camp is off to a fantastic start! Our first activities took place yesterday afternoon, setting a positive tone for the days ahead.

It was good (yet challenging) to have an increase in applications this year. Almost every bed is filled, plus we have a few in RVs. There are 120 enthusiastic campers and 99 dedicated staff members.

The weather has been hot and humid, with temperatures ranging from the mid- to low 90s. While there’s a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow, we’re hoping for clear skies.

As I write, we just wrapped up our whole-camp novelty Olympics. Thankfully, the overcast skies make it more comfortable, and everyone had a great time.

Camp will continue until Wednesday afternoon, culminating in an end-of-camp show put on by the campers for their parents.

We’re pleased to report that, so far, there have been no serious injuries—only a sprained ankle. We appreciate your continued prayers for good weather, health and safety for everyone at camp.
