Camp Long “In the Flow”

Greetings from 79 campers and 41 staff at Camp Long!

We started off our camp with intense heat, high humidity, and not a cloud in the sky.

The thermometer read 100 degrees today. By the afternoon, clouds started to roll in, but we didn’t experience any rain or storms, even though they were called for. According to the weather forecast, this cloudy weather is what we can expect all week.

Please keep us in your prayers for some relief from the heat, but no dangerous weather.

Because we expected this, we have plenty of indoor activities scattered throughout the schedule, and all activity stations have two buckets of ice water, which we are keeping filled. We are also supplying Gatorade for some extra electrolytes.

So far, everyone is doing well, and the campers are enjoying themselves. As per Mr. Myers, our camp is now in full “going with the flow” mode. This theme is also being presented well in all areas. We’re off to a great start and praying for an even better finish!
